I love Google but sometimes . . . well, even when I use all of the gadgety search operators, the results can be a bit discouraging. So that’s why I’m starting to use RefSeek a bit more every week.

RefSeek searches a relatively small database that is focused just on the stuff I want:

RefSeek is a web search engine for students and researchers that aims to make academic information easily accessible to everyone. RefSeek searches more than one billion documents, including web pages, books, encyclopedias, journals, and newspapers.

RefSeek‘s unique approach offers students comprehensive subject coverage without the information overload of a general search engine

I also like the fact that it makes suggestions for narrowing down my search once I get my first set of results. It also lets me search for documents living on the web.

A search engine for us education types.
